This firm is a $15billion family office managing the assets of its founder and its eligible employees. They primarily invest in discretionary long/short equities and makes significant quantitative and macro investments. The Firm is headquartered in New York and has a world class team of approximately 1,000 employees, including more than 350 investment professionals.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Bachelors or higher degree in computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, engineering, or other quantitative discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience as an options trader for an established market maker, volatility arb team, or similar operation
  • Strong theoretical and applied knowledge of option Greeks
  • Deep microstructure knowledge of at least one asset class (Equity Indices, FX, Fixed Income, or Commodities) along with desire and ability to rapidly learn them all
  • Experience with OMS/EMS workflows and troubleshooting
  • Some programming skills (e.g. Python, C++, Java) and ability to navigate Linux servers
  • Keen intuition for markets and a passion for studying them
  • Clear, concise, and proactive communicator (written and verbal)
  • Detail-oriented and vigilant to potential operational risks
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Voice (phone, chat) execution of all non-electronic option markets (OTC FX options, pit traded exchange options)
  • Maintain strong relationships with broad set of voice based liquidity providers
  • Oversee electronic execution of options, futures, currencies, and ETFs
  • Contribute to the internal development and external sourcing of execution algorithms
  • Track realized transaction costs and execution quality stats
  • Monitor key system inputs (forward curves, volatility surfaces, event parameters, t-cost assumptions) and key system outputs (order/trade blotters, position reconciliation reports, risk reports, P&L, performance attribution, and various logs)
  • Design and oversee option exercise processes (manual and automated)
  • Throttle or suspend system when markets experience un-modeled, disorderly conditions
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the investment process
